Presenting our DIY Gender Reveal Piñata!
I wanted to make it a fun affair for the hubby and kids so instead of just telling them whether we were gonna have another baby girl or boy, they had to find out for themselves by smashing this piñata.
Yup, it's usually friends or family who organise gender reveal parties but in our case, I am always the party planner and thus this was executed by me too. Thankfully, I only had to keep the secret for two days after my checkup because the kids were so curious and excited about it already. Yup, I actually managed to keep it from all of them right till this moment.
If you remember, our last gender reveal was done with a DIY volcano made out of modelling clay and using baking soda, vinegar and food colouring, we made it erupt to reveal if the girls were having a Didi or Meimei. That was really memorable so I wanted to make this one a special occasion too since it's highly likely the last time. Yup, I have never said I would surely stop at 3 but now, I think 4 kids is a good number and I am happy with it.
This piñata is made out of a cardboard box, crepe paper and tape, and all the kids helped me with the making process because I wanted them to feel involved. It might not be perfectly made but it was exactly what I wanted and although it was destroyed in a matter of minutes, I am so glad we put in the time and effort to do it.
So, guess what colour items are gonna fall out from the box? Blue or pink, boy or girl? I will be uploading the video soon but do make a guess below and see if you got it right. Happy Thursday, people!
Hint (if it helps): This pregnancy has made me crave for spicy food like tom yum, laksa, curry and assam fish and I have gained, erm, 7kg at 20 weeks. Haha.
